Manmohan Singh Conferred Honorary Doctorate by Moscow State Institute of International Relations


Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the diplomatic school of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia conferred an Honorary Doctorate to Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India on 21 October 2013.
Honorary Doctorate conferred to Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India during the visit to Russia. He became the first Indian to receive an honorary doctorate from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
While accepting the Honorary Doctorate   the Indian Prime Minister lauded the special Indo-Russian friendship and told that Russia has stood by India at moments of great international challenge, when our own resources were limited and our friends were few. Following India’s independence and consistently since then, India and Russia have built a sound partnership.
